In Project I.G.I.: I'm Going In, players take on the role of a NATO operative tasked with stopping a rogue ex-Russian colonel from unleashing a catastrophic nuclear attack on Europe. Developed by Innerloop Studios and released in 2000, this tactical first-person shooter challenges players to use stealth and strategy over brute force, infiltrating heavily fortified military installations across Eastern Europe. With a range of advanced spy gadgets and NATO-issue assault rifles at their disposal, players must use their skills in hacking, sabotage, and reconnaissance to evade enemy forces, which adapt to their actions in real-time. If the situation becomes too dire, a napalm strike can be called in via the Map Computer. While the game received mixed reviews due to technical issues and limited features, its impressive sound design and graphics earned praise, setting the stage for the 2003 sequel, I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike.
