Stronghold Crusader

In Stronghold Crusader, you're transported to the battle-scarred Middle East during the Crusades, a new and exciting setting for this medieval strategy game. Building on the success of its predecessor, Stronghold Crusader introduces a wealth of new Arabian units that can be recruited from the mercenary post, a unique building that brings exotic troops to your kingdom. While these troops are pricey, they bring a fresh dynamic to the game. This enhanced version of the original Stronghold was later bundled as Stronghold Warchest, a comprehensive package including the original game and additional content. However, this special edition was limited to select regions, leaving some players without access to its exclusive Crusader Trail and characters. Fortunately, in 2008, Stronghold Crusader Extreme was released, bringing the game's expanded offerings to a wider audience.
